🧩 Why Occupational Therapy?

Every child develops at their own pace, and some may need extra support in areas like:

  • Fine motor skills (like writing, cutting, or buttoning a shirt)
  • Gross motor coordination (like climbing, running, or balancing)
  • Emotional regulation and social interaction
  • Sensory sensitivities to light, sound, texture, or movement
  • Daily routines like dressing, hygiene, and mealtime

Our licensed Occupational Therapists use fun, hands-on activities to support your child’s growth — helping them gain confidence in their body, space, and everyday skills.these areas while gaining confidence in their body, space, and skills.

🔍 What to Expect

We begin with a comprehensive assessment, often including a sensory questionnaire for parents, to better understand your child’s:

  • Motor development (fine and gross)
  • Sensory integration needs
  • Social-emotional abilities
  • Independence with daily living skills

From there, we build a customized therapy plan that may include activities like heavy work, swings, deep pressure techniques, or sensory play — all tailored to your child’s unique needs and goals.lay — all carefully selected to support your child’s specific goals.

đź’Ş Sensory Support, Reimagined

Many children experience sensory processing challenges that impact focus, comfort, and behavior. OT provides tools for self-regulation — helping reduce meltdowns, build resilience, and improve participation in daily life.

Therapeutic tools and strategies may include:

  • Brushing and joint compression
  • Weighted blankets or vests
  • Movement-based play like trampolines, swings, or “heavy work” (think: tire flipping!)

These techniques don’t just feel good — they’re brain-boosting, mood-balancing, and powerful for developing attention and calm.mood-balancing, and great for building attention and calm.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parent Partnership is Key

We work closely with families to ensure that therapeutic strategies extend beyond the clinic — into the home, classroom, and community. Small, consistent changes can lead to big breakthroughs.

đź’ˇ Additional Services

Many of our OT clients also benefit from speech therapy — and with both services offered in-house, coordinating care is simpler and more effective.
